The California Health Collaborative (Collaborative) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) health organization committed to enhancing the quality of life and health of the people of California, particularly the underserved.
Guided by its mission of "promoting wellness through collaboration," the Collaborative builds partnerships to implement a wide range of innovative community health solutions that improve the lives of those served. With "partnership" at its core, the Collaborative is uniquely positioned as a neutral convenor, creating forums through which the strengths and assets of diverse groups are collectively focused. In this way, comprehensive health endeavors emerge that could not otherwise be as effectively or efficiently delivered.
The Collaborative is committed to addressing the health needs of Californians who have limited access to resources affecting their well-being. Those who face barriers related to culture and language, geography, and financial resources are of particular focus. With a vision of serving the underserved throughout the state, the Collaborative's principal service area is Central and far Northern California.
The Collaborative implements an array of health promotion and disease prevention projects, public health surveillance systems, cancer treatment programs and a variety of capacity-building and networking activities. Through these efforts the Collaborative has established strong relationships with partners at the local, regional, and statewide levels, enabling each of the Collaborative's efforts to be linked into broader systems of prevention and care.
